Six Paths Meditation – Terms of Use
1. OverviewSix Paths Meditation (hereinafter SPM) guided by the Venerable Seogwang (Yungsook Song) and her development team (hearinafter Development Team) aims to provide customized meditation services and contents at the request of the Jonghak Research Institute of Dongguk University’s Institute of Buddhist Studies (hereinafter Jonghak Research Institute). Users can share content, images, links, comments, reviews, etc. These Terms of Use apply to everyone who uses SPM. These Terms of Use set forth the rights and responsibilities of those who use SPM. One may use SPM by agreeing to these Terms of Use.
2. Use and Restrictions of SPM
(1) Use of SPM
You may use SPM in accordance with these Terms of Use, and you may register and log in to use SPM. Members shall manage their usernames and passwords and shall not provide or share them with third parties.
(2) Service Restrictions
In the process of using SPM, the following acts are prohibited.
- Fraudulently using or altering other people's information and content
- Using SPM for illegal purposes
- Posting pornographic material or linking to pornographic sites
- Targeting minors and promoting threats, harassment, or violence
- Conduct that is abusive, maliciously offensive, or intended to harass or bully others
- Is inconsistent with the nature of the message boards
- Acts that are recognized as criminal in nature
- Acts that harm the safety of SPM (virus distribution, cracking, etc.)
- Acts that slander or defame other members or third parties
- Acts that violate other relevant laws, service use regulations, terms of use, etc.
If you engage in any of the above behaviors while using SPM, we may delete your account without prior warning. In addition, if you believe that someone else's post is inappropriate, you may report the post, and we may block users who consistently register inappropriate posts.
3. SPM Contents and Rights
(1) SPM includes the following contents
The Service includes the following contents
- Provision and management of contents, images, videos, etc. uploaded by users
- Providing a means of communication between users (comments, reviews, etc.)
- Viewing other people's contents (six paths examination results, meditation diaries, one-line communications)
(2) SPM Rights
All contents (images, videos, articles, SPM surveys/tests, etc.) and functions provided within SPM are the property of the Venerable Seogwang (Yungsook Song) who developed the RHS (Recovering Human Spirit, formerly known as NDT, Meeting Your True Self) meditation program and the Institute of Korean Meditation and Psychotherapy, to which it belongs. These programs provide the basis for Six Paths Meditation.
4. Service Fees
Services will be provided free of charge until September 30, 2024, after which any use of the services will automatically terminate.
5. Processing of Personal Information
As per prior arrangemtns made with the Jonghak Research Institute the Development Team may collect, use and store your personal information to provide services. For more information on this, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Development Team will do its utmost to provide SPM and will actively respond to any problems related to the use of SPM. However, the Development Team shall not be liable in the following cases.
- Damages arising from the use of SPM that were predicted or foreseeable
- Damages caused by the use of SPM due to your intention or negligence
- The unavailability of SPM due to reasons such as national emergencies, natural disasters, power outages, etc.
7. Changes to the Terms of Use
The Development Team may revise the Terms of Use, in which case consultation will be had with the Jonghak Research Institute and users will be notified of these changes through prior notice or consent to the Terms of Use.
8. Other Matters
- The Development Team shall destroy personal information without delay when the personal information becomes unnecessary. This includes the expiration of the personal information retention period or when the purpose of processing has been achieved.
- If the personal information retention period agreed upon by the user has passed or the purpose of processing has been achieved, but the personal information must continue to be preserved in accordance with other laws and regulations, the personal information shall be transferred to a separate database (DB) or preserved in a different storage location.
You can refuse to agree to these Terms of Use. If you refuse, you will not be provided with the Six Paths Meditation services.
